She was expecting a baby.

expecting a baby 就是 “怀孕” 的意思。
"What good news!"said everyone.
“真是好消息！”大家说。
The family were excited.
Everyone was happy for her and her husband.

Wilma's Mum found the old buggy.
buggy 就是婴儿车
Wilma 的妈妈找到了辆旧婴儿车。
"Oh look!"said Wilma's dad.
“哦，看！” Wilma 的爸爸说。
"Wilf had it when he was a baby."
这里的 when 就是 “当...的时候”
“是 Wilf 小时候坐的。”
Wilf 若有所思的样子，原来这是我的呀，当 Baby 也不错嘛，可以被妈妈推着到处走。
The buggy looked a bit scruffy.
scruffy means untidy 不整洁。
婴儿车看着有点旧了。
A wheel had come off.
掉了一个轮子。
but never mind 别担心
"We can do it up,"said Wilma's mum.
We can do it up 我们可以修一修，可以搞定的
“我们可以修好它的。” Wilma 的妈妈说。
Jo was happy.
Her husband gave he a cup of tea.
and say Do you need anything else?
