When mentioning a trip that has been postponed for a long while, I would say my trip back home I had planned during the Spring Festival travel rush last year. We all know that China has a phenomenon that millions of people working or studying outside of their hometown will be hurrying home to reunite with families as the Chinese New Year approaches, because it’s the long-held tradition for every Chinese.
However, right before the day I planned to leave, I packed my luggage, but I still decided to cancel because of the outbreak of the novel coronavirus, which had been confirmed. The disease can be transmitted between humans. In fact, at that time, I thought that maybe I could go back home in March. Sadly, things have gotten so much worse since then. In order to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus, it has been necessary for everyone to avoid large crowds and just stay at home. Fortunately, the whole situation now has been greatly controlled with the effort of every Chinese, particularly our professional and admirable medical staff. I hope come May or June I could travel home to reunite with my family.
